Learning to track your cycle
Moon mapping is both a practice as much as it is an art. It’s the art of aligning your life and efforts with the phases of the moon. Moon mapping allows us to gain more awareness of the meaning of this archetypal journey the moon takes through the mandala as we watch her move through her dance - knowing when we're in a new moon phase, waxing quarter moon, full moon and so on gives us an incredible energetic advantage, and then planning your actions accordingly so you can make the most of every season and cycle of living. And most importantly, to see the way these seasons shift within you.
Why go to so much effort to coordinate your life to the phases of the moon, you ask?
We all have desires, things we want to achieve. In one sense, moon-mapping puts our intention-to-manifestation timeframe on a schedule. Each phase of the lunar cycle offers us a different opportunity to align with a vital aspect of ourselves. She is the lead in our monthly dance, gently guiding yet deeply moving us along the path, revealing the source of the dynamic emotional energy within each of us.
From Then to Now
One of the challenges I had before being introduced to Human Design or discovering I am a Reflector or learning anything about the Moon or her cycles was that I was afraid all the time. Anxious all the time. I couldn’t shake it. Something felt so wrong, and it felt wrong with me. I didn’t trust anything, not anyone and especially not myself. Learning to track my monthly cycle with the Moon changed my life, and the best part is… her invitation is open to us all.
The body knows how to move us. When we live a body-led life, we are allowing the body to make its decisions and the mind to be a passenger of that experience rather than trying to be the decision-making authority. Understanding the moon phases is an essential component of my own journey, but she is here for all of us. Every month the Moon creates a consistent path within you that reveals all sorts of truths about why you feel the way you feel - about yourself, your relationships, even about your deepest desires and needs. Each of the eight moon phases present us their own opportunities.
